This was a table clock designed for the Thomas Mercer 2017 Design Competition which received a 3rd place finish.

Designed on a quick turnaround the housing was made to focus on enhancing Thomas Mercer’s Chronometers by exposing the clock mechanism and making subtle hints to their naval background.

Modelled from an image provided by the company, I recreated the clock movement in 3D CAD in order to understand the constraints of the design and to learn about the mechanism.
